General

BO2024TEA540A105 01/09/2024 - 31/08/2029 The project aims to improve the wellbeing, known as "buen vivir" of rural and indigenous communities (RIC) living in high-risk climate areas by bolstering their mental health (MH) resilience to climate change (CC)-induced stressors through a Transdisciplinary Community-Based Research (TCBR) approach. To achieve this goal, the project has three main objectives: 1) strengthening the TCBR capacities of the UCB Faculty of Social and Human Sciences and Louvain Cooperation in understanding the relationship between CC-induced stressors and MH; 2) Co-creating and mobilising scientific and community knowledge on the link between CC-induced stressors and MH together with RIC, public institutions, local authorities, developmental actors and other HEIs; 3) Promoting mutual collaboration in TCBR among these stakeholders to develop prevention and intervention programmes together. This project aligns with the IUC-UCB (2022-2027), fostering synergies and enhancing the impact of both projects.
