General

CU2024TEA542A101 01/09/2024 - 31/08/2029 Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) speeds up software development and boosts its quality. However, the Cuban software industry does not have yet exploited MDE expertise. We aim to improve the MDE capacities within the University of Holguin and Central University of Las Villas with three doctoral and six master's theses. They will enhance education and research in MDE and in turn will improve the understanding of the use of MDE and its impact on increasing efficiency within the Cuban software industry. We also aim to stablish a Cuban software factory incubator. This will open opportunities for attracting investors, , providing mentorship, and workspaces for creating software startups for growth and innovation. As a consequence, this will advance economic and social progress and promote a Cuban digital society.
