ED-ICP Master of Statistics

BE2022ICP209A104 01/09/2022 - 31/08/2027 The ICP Master of Statistics awards scholarships to a select group of outstanding individuals to study under the Master of Statistics and Data Science programme at Hasselt University. It involves initiatives in South countries including Mozambique, Kenya, Vietnam, Philippines, and Indonesia, among others. Previous collaborations have led to inceptions of a Centre for Statistics in Mozambique and MSc programmes in (Bio)statistics and epidemiology in Cuba and Ethiopia. Our main aim is to continue our efforts in elevating our beneficiaries, including individual scholars and partner institutions, to international competitiveness. We hope that by fostering drivers of change, we can create a positive outcome towards the South through uptake of state-of-the-art knowledge in statistics. The strategy of the project revolves around the aspect of sustainability through South-oriented ICP scholarships, activities in the South, a formalized alumni network, and the development of an E-learning framework.
