General

Overall developmental objective : To improve general public health in Tanzania via an improvement of food safety Overall academic objective : To improve research and training capacity at both SUA and TFDA with respect to mould infestation and mycotoxin occurrence in agricultural commodities and at TFDA with respect to risk analysis.

Specific developmental objective : To reduce the risk of exposure to mycotoxins from complementary foods in Tanzania by use of a food based, pre-and postharvest integrated approach Specific academic objective : To strengthen capacity at SUA in the development of pre- and postharvest strategies for management of mycotoxins in agricultural crops
