Skilling Bolivia

Young people (m/f) aged 15 to 29, living in vulnerable conditions, develop their competences to integrate themselves both professionally and socially thanks to an empowerment process led by Vocational Training Centres, Job Placement Offices and Planning and Development Offices in Bolivia (La Paz, Cochabamba, Chuquisaca y Santa Cruz). The goal of our programme in Bolivia is to empower boys and girls (aged 15-29), so they can find their place in the world of work and contribute to the communities to which they belong. We believe in the unique power of comprehensive education to help young people grow both professionally and personally and, therefore, are active in the field of vocational training and skills development. To reach this goal, we have established solid partnerships with several organisations: we will collaborate with 8 Vocational Training Centers(VTCs), 1 National Job Placement Office(JPO) and 8 local JPOs to offer qualitative skills training and guide students towards decent work. We also work with a Planning and Development Office (PDO) to coordinate the programme locally and organise capacity building activities with the VTCs and JPOs.
