AfricaMuseum Cooperation programme is dedicated to safeguarding and celebrating Africa’s rich cultural and natural heritage in alignment with SDG 11.4, aiming to protect and transmit this legacy while empowering African communities through access to their heritage. The AfricaMuseum serves as a hub for cultural preservation and dialogue to ensure that Africa’s rich heritage is valued and passed on for the present and future generations.
Results
Specific objective 2.1 musical (sub)cultures are promoted, stereotypes on african music are deconstructed and african and afro-descendant musicians are empowered through the production of african music videos. /
Specific objective 2.2 history and heritage is leveraged for inclusive development in the city of boma and its surroundings. /
Specific objective 2.3 heritage is better preserved and managed through trainings for central african archivists and doctoral students in social sciences.
Specific objective 2.4 local knowledge is preserved and contributes to societal and environmental sustainability through documenting local languages.
Specific objective 2.5 the accessibility, preservation, management and promotion of congolese cultural heritage is improved through research and training.
Specific objective 2.6 establishing a sustainable museum network between african and european museums aiming at empowerment in training, exchange of expertise and multilateral collaboration between peers beyond regions and beyond language barriers
