General

Indonesia, the largest economy and democracy in Southeast Asia, has made an enormous rise in recent decades. Under the progressive President Joko Widodo, in power since 2014, there is more room for the labour movements and partner organisations to negotiate better social regulations, such as the new law on labour migration adopted in 2016, which should bring about a real improvement in the protection of labour migrants. There are also disappointments, such as the 2015 decree that prevents tripartite negotiations on minimum wages at national and provincial level. WSM focuses on 3 categories: service delivery and support to members and target groups, political actions and capacity development.

Results
