General

The overall long-term objective of KIYO in the long term: KIYO formulated four long-term objectives (on 10 years), focusing on the expansion of target groups and intervention areas: * Awareness-raising of children and adolescents: Children/youngsters from the TSO, BSOs from all over Belgium are made aware of children's rights in the South and take action. * Adult awareness raising: KIYO is the point of contact for 4th pillar organisations and local authorities (cities and municipalities) for organising events on children's rights, both in Dutch and French-speaking Belgium. * Influencing policy in the field of children's rights in Belgium: In addition to being a major player in the field of children's rights in Flanders, KIYO also plays a role in the French-speaking children's rights landscape. The collaboration with CODE is being started. * Influencing policy in the field of children's rights in development cooperation: KIYO acts as one of the main pioneers of Belgian policy on children's rights in development cooperation.
