General

Center-based physical rehabilitation services in Cambodia are under the responsibility of the Ministry of Social Affairs Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation (MoSVY), as mentioned within the CCA page 30, and are provided by 11 Physical Rehabilitation Centers (PRCs), all established by IOs/INGOs. Handicap International established Kampong Cham PRC in 2002 and has provided management, technical and financial support ever since. The PRC offers a complete range of rehabilitation services, mainly to people with physical disabilities living in Kampong Cham and Tbaung Khmum provinces, whose combined population is over 1.6 million. Kampong Cham PRC has an average of 2.200 clients per year, with about 500 new clients per year.
