Amélioration de l'accès sur réseau des services électricité pour les familles et les services publics prioritaires (Phase 2)
The Energy sector is able to provide sufficient, reliable and affordable energy for all Rwandans. The access to reliable on-grid electricity services for households ans priority institutions in peri-urban and rural areas is improved. Result 1 :Rural electricity connectivity is increased through national electricity grid extension Result 2: Beneficiaries (households, productive- and community uses) are supported in improving their access level. Result 3: Coherence and coordination are improved between EARP and other energy access initiatives.
Production and affordable access to sustainable energy remain key challenges of the Rwandan Vision 2020 and Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy II (EDPRS II 2013-2018) through the the Electricity Access Roll-out Program (EARP). Energy became a priority sector of the BE/RWA governmental cooperation program since 2011 (55M€ - ICP 2011-2014).
