La souveraineté alimentaire durable, la résilience socioéconomique des jeunes femmes et jeunes hommes et la lutte contre le changement

L’objectif spécifique de l’intervention 1 (OS1) est : « La souveraineté alimentaire durable, la résilience socioéconomique des jeunes femmes et jeunes hommes et la lutte contre le changement climatique sont renforcés dans le Sine Saloum. The project aims to strengthen food sovereignty, socioeconomic resilience of young men and women, and climate change mitigation efforts in the Sine Saloum region of Senegal. This is a governmental cooperation initiative led by Enabel, with a focus on agricultural development within the agriculture, forestry, fishing sector (31xxx). The program's implementation is oriented towards progress in level outcome and output results. The project encompasses two main interventions, each with specific resources, operational methods, and monitoring mechanisms. Potential partnerships for implementation are also envisioned with various European actors. Key performance indicators (KPIs) will be established to measure the project's success. The project is expected to start in December 2024 and continue until July 2029. It involves collaboration with several institutions, including the Ministry of Health and Social Action (MSAS), European Medicines Agency (EMA), National Fund for Agriculture-Forest-Pastoral Development (FNDASP), and the Green Innovation Hub (GIH). Additionally, it will work closely with local organizations such as APROFES (Association for the Promotion of the Senegalese Woman) and ARP (Agency for Pharmaceutical Regulation). The project's scope includes areas like agricultural development, pro-poor value chain development, climate change adaptation, and health initiatives focused on maternal and child health. It will also involve capacity building, research, and incubation programs to promote investment and large-scale projects. The project will also address challenges related to climate change, including its impact on agriculture and the need for resilience among young men and women in the region.
