It includes components related to professional formation and employment in a circular and green economy, governance, and citizen participation, health services, communication for development (C4D), and gender equality in healthcare. The project will conduct an analysis of the current state of C4D for health in Burundi to develop a C4D plan for the duration of the project. It will also focus on mental health awareness, support community health structures, and strengthen participation of local communities in healthcare services. The intervention will also address gender disparities in access to healthcare, particularly for women and girls, by developing a monitoring tool using the ICAP barometer, which has been successful in other countries. The project will also prioritize internally displaced persons and refugees, providing clear information about their health rights and how to access them through community agents. The intervention will utilize various methods and technologies for communication, including local radio stations, social media, application development, theater groups, newspapers, and peer-to-peer communication. A specific budget and attention will be allocated to mental health, aligning with output B.4.
