MOZ - Cooperation program Mozambique 2023-2028 - Intervention 1: Multi-Stakeholder approach for climate resilience and energy transition

This intervention aims at supporting an inclusive, evidence-based policy dialogue on climate resilience and energy transition. Lessons learned from water, energy, losses and damages and waste management/ circular economy feed the policy dialogue which in turn influences local solutions, creating a feed-back loop. The Climate Energy project, a multi-stakeholder approach for climate resilience and energy transition in Mozambique, is a collaborative initiative aimed at fostering an inclusive, evidence-based policy dialogue on climate resilience and energy transition. This project, funded by Enabel under the governmental cooperation, leverages lessons learned from various sectors including water, energy, loss and damage, and waste management/ circular economy to inform local solutions, creating a feedback loop. The objective of this project is to support Mozambique's institutional strengthening towards an inclusive transition to a climate-resilient and low-carbon economy, with a focus on vulnerable communities in both rural and urban areas. By engaging Mozambican authorities, communities, women, youth, and other vulnerable groups in cross-sectoral coordination, the project aims to improve climate-proofed public services and enable policies and initiatives for energy transition.
