General
Results
The Appui a la relance du secteur pharmaceutique au Senegal project, falling under the Health. Basic Health. Basic health care sector in Senegal, is a collaboration between Enabel and the Senegalese government with a grant-based financing type. The project, which started in 2021 and will end in 2023, aims to revitalize the pharmaceutical sector in Senegal. The project's inception is rooted in the alignment of priorities between Senegal and Belgium, as outlined in the Senegal-Belgium Portfolio 2019-2023, which was constructed based on an analysis of convergence points between Senegal's and Belgium's development priorities. The Senegal Emergent Phase II (PSE II 2019-2023) and various sectoral strategic plans, the national policy for territorial management and development, sectoral policy letters, among others, formed the basis of discussions leading to this project. But it can be inferred that it involves interventions aimed at revitalizing the pharmaceutical sector in Senegal, as per the project title and sector classification. The final report on the implementation of the portfolio includes a presentation of the context and description of interventions based on result frameworks, a summary of achieved results (if any), an evaluation of basic criteria for intervention assessment, and a follow-up of interventions, audits or controls, and recommendations issued.
