The Project Development Objective (PDO) of this program is to improve the capacity of stateand
non-state actors in the Sahel to manage mineral resources exploited by artisanal and smallscale
methods in a transparent, sustainable and gender-inclusive manner. This development objective is aligned with the EGPS-2 anchor TF PDO, that seeks to improve the capacity of current and emerging resource-rich developing countries to use their oil, gas and mineral resources in a transparent, sustainable and gender-inclusive manner.
