General

The Development of Female Entrepreneurship along the Conakry-Kindia-Mamou axis (DEF-CKM) is a project in Guinea Republic, focusing on Business. Business development services, specifically within the sector of Banking and financial services (24xxx). This initiative is complementary to existing agricultural and urban entrepreneurship programs, with indirect partnerships from these sectors. The project was launched on January 1, 2019, with the Committee of Pilotage opening on October 21, 2019. The expected end date for execution is June 30, 2023, and the specific contract concludes on December 31, 2023. The target groups include female entrepreneurs and aspirants, as well as local authorities and religious and framing structures responsible for women's autonomy. The project aims to contribute to the creation of decent and quality employment opportunities and the increase of stable and sustainable incomes for both men and women entrepreneurs along the Conakry-Kindia-Mamou axis. This impact aligns with Guinea's National Economic and Social Development Plan (PNDES) for the period 2016-2020, which aims to develop human capital and strengthen the fight against social exclusion and inequalities. The plan emphasizes increased investments in education/training, productive employment, and entrepreneurship for the autonomy of young people and women. Since several years, the Government of Guinea, through its development partners and support structures (cabinets and incubators), has multiplied initiatives to promote entrepreneurship in general and female entrepreneurship in particular. Several programs/projects are ongoing or have been executed in favor of entrepreneurs in the country. The formal framework is provided by the PNDES for the period 2016-2020, which aligns with "Guinee Vision 2040". This plan, in coherence with the Objectives of Sustainable Development (ODD), focuses on the third pillar, which aims to develop human capital and strengthen the fight against social exclusion and inequalities. It highlights the intensification of investments in favor of education/training, productive employment, and entrepreneurship for the autonomy of young people and women.
