General

In the Republic of Guinea, the She Decides. Promotion des droits sexuels et reproductifs (SD-PDSR) project was initiated as a new or expanded activity in response to the COVID-19 pandemic within the sector of Population & Reproductive Health. Reproductive health care. The project is supported by Enabel, the Belgian Development Agency. Historically, Guinea has been a country of origin and more recently a transit and even host country for migrants. Managing migration flows entering Guinea as well as maintaining links with numerous Moroccan residents abroad is an essential aspect of Moroccan migration policies. The challenges posed by the arrival of migrants in Morocco should not prevent the management of ties with the diaspora, particularly second and third generations, whose significant contributions to the development of Morocco are crucial and directing them towards productive investments is vital. In this new program, Belgium and Morocco will collaborate to leverage Belgian experience as an immigration country while mobilizing the skills of Moroccans residing in Belgium. The project aims to improve access to sexual and reproductive health services for women and girls in Guinea, particularly those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes providing essential supplies, strengthening the capacity of healthcare providers, and promoting awareness about sexual and reproductive health rights.
