General

To contribute to the reduction of morbidity and mortality among South Sudanese refugees in Bidibidi settlement and their host communities in Yumbe district, Northern Uganda. Uganda is Africa’s largest refugee hosting country and one of the five largest refugee hosting countries in the world hosting more than 1.47 million refugees according to the Refugee Information Management System (RIMS), administered by the Government of Uganda. Throughout 2016 and 2017, Uganda faced three parallel emergencies from South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and Burundi. South Sudanese make up 72 percent of the entire refugee population in Uganda, which has tripled since 2015.
