GoDRC ensures that perpetrators responsible for child recruitment and use are made accountable Soutien aux instances étatiques dans les poursuites systématiques contre les recruteurs d'enfants en RDC

Results

1. Arrest, prosecution and conviction of perpetrators of child recruitment. 2. Opening of judicial investigations against 18 perpetrators of child recruitment by December 2017. 3. Prosecution and conviction of at least four alleged perpetrators of child recruitment already under arrest, by December 2017. 4. Military magistrates understand and apply the international standards regarding the protection of children during armed conflict. 5. Government adopts a standard holistic protection to victims and witnesses directly involved in the judicial procedure. 6. Judicial stakeholders (military courts, military prosecutors) and implementing partners (national and international NGOs) are aware of protection and security issues concerning child recruitment and use cases. 7. Best practices developed for the prosecution of perpetrators of child recruitment and use under national law are developed and shared with other countries.
