Water and Sanitation Kigoma Regional Project WaSKiRP

to contribute toward equitable development and poverty reduction among Kigoma rural communities trough improved access to safe and clean water supply and sanitation services. WASKIRP will be supporting the establishement of Community owned Water Supply Oranisations (COWSO) as well as improving existing infrastructure with a view of sustaining the water supply in the long run. WOrks will focus on hardware rehabilitation and extension of existing large schemes within six of the height districts of Kigoma region. To ensure effective shift towards sustainable water supply O&M, the project will develop capacities of regional, districts and COWSOs bodies in a number of key themes in line with Ministry of Water and Irrigation sustainability strategy 2015-2020.
