The proposed 5-year project will contribute to the development objective of improved food security of households in 15 targeted villages in Longido District in Arusha Region and Simanjiro District in Manyara Region. Coordination of the multi-actor programme of the Belgian Fund for Food Security in Tanzania, to foster its internal coherence and strategic coordination, with effective communication and capacity development of local and national authorities.
Results
The specific objective that the project aims to achieve is: "higher and more secured income used for nutrition and improved local availability of food for 9,000 households in 15 villages in Simanjiro and Longido districts, and in particular for the 40% of impoverished households, women and youth."
