Young people of Flanders: solidarity with the South NGO Bevrijde Wereld - programme 2014-2016 - Belgium

In the long term, New World chooses to focus on specific sub-themes within the theme of food security. For the period 2014-2016, the theme is "ground". The campaign theme of New World comprises three sections: 1. Political: Political right on land. Legislation must be put in place to ensure that farmers cannot be driven out of their land, that women can own the land, and so on. 2. economic: farmers need the means to cultivate their land (through irrigation, equipment, etc.). 3. Ecological: the soil must be fertile. Farmers should be given the opportunity to improve the fertility of the land.

Specific objective 1: Young people and their supervisors have been made aware of, are motivated and activated on sustainable development within the North-South approach. Specific objective 2: Adults have been made aware of, are motivated and activated with regard to food problems in the South.
