General

The project implemented by WFP is part of the comprehensive programme designed and implemented through the joint efforts of five different partners (UNCDF, WFP, FAO, FOS and DISOP) and in close coordination with a parallel project implemented by BTC. SETSAN will ensure the overall coordination. Each agency will have its own management structure but will coordinate closely at field level. WFP will pursue interventions with a specific focus on targeting the most vulnerable, improving the availability of disaggregated information and on monitoring and evaluation of programme impact, further strengthening the technical capacity of SETSAN at decentralized levels. The main objective of WFP project is to improve the Food security of vulnerable people, their livelihoods and resilience to shocks through risk reduction, climate change adaptation activities.

Results

1: Enhanced Governance for sustainable food security and nutrition through local governance : - Risk, Food Security and Nutrition information available and used at provincial and district level. 2: Improved rural livelihoods of vulnerable households : - Reinforced capacity of local communities to deal with FSN, DRR and CCA.
